Egypt's Ministry of Culture will broadcast on its official YouTube channel a musical show entitled "Lebanon is built and Rises in a Dream" on August 12 at 10 p.m. to stand in solidarity with the people of Lebanon following the recent Beirut Port blast.
The show is composed by musician Naseer Shamma, organized by the Egyptian Opera House, and performed by Abdel Halim Nouira Band for Arabic Music, led by maestro Salah Ghobashy.
The show will be held with the participation of a group of stars from Egypt and the Arab world, namely Mohamed el-Helou, Khaled Selim, Majd el-Qasim, Asma Lamnawar, Wissam Hamdy, Adel Mahmoud, Hussein Qureshi and Nasreen.
Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem confirmed that broadcasting the ceremony sends a message of empathy to the people of Lebanon that carries the calls of the Egyptian people for peace to the “Pearl of the East” [Lebanon].
The minister added that providing support in various forms to the people of Lebanon, which various countries of the world rushed to, is one of the humanitarian manifestations that contribute to helping the Lebanese people overcome the ordeal. Abdel Dayem also offered condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic accident and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
