The Egyptian embassy in Canada is promoting cultural touristic destinations in Egypt through inviting all Canadians to watch, during their confinement, virtual tours for a collection of museums and archaeological sites in Egypt launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, on its social media platforms.
Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zaid, the Egyptian ambassador in Canada, explains that virtual tours for 14 archaeological sites all over Egypt were carefully chosen in order to show the diversity of the Egyptian civilization.
These tours were sent to the members of Canadian parliament and Senate, as well as members of the Canadian government and the ambassadors of different countries in Canada, in addition to the Egyptian community.
The tours will provide to Canadians the opportunity enjoying those virtual visits during their confinement as well as encouraging them to visit Egypt soon after the return of tourism traffic to its regular movement .
The tours include the tomb of Meresankh III, the tomb of Menna, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Red monastery and other sites
