Today, we see a painting "Gossip at the Bazaar" by British artist Charles Robertson, who lived between (1844 - 1891) and in it we find a short years of friendship in this session between the two friends, which reflects the human aspect of the shops of old Cairo.

The painting reveals that the two merchants are old, and that they have a long history of tales, and perhaps this session is a daily habit that they do not give up at all, they talk about trade a little, and they talk about state affairs a little, but they talk about their conditions a lot.

The painting says that the bazaar merchant is the silent who wears a red uniform and listens to the owner who came to visit him, who seems to complain about something, as he places his hand on his "left side" and raises his hand in the form of "someone who swears by something."

In the painting, we notice the love of "Charles Robertson" in blue color, we find it on the ceramic vessels that the bazaar sells, and we also find it visible on the outside wall of the building, and it also has an effect even on the faraway mashrabiya that appears at the end of the bazaar.

It seems that Charles Robertson was fascinated by the eastern shops and their airspace and presented it in more than one painting. It is noticeable that he deals with merchants with a "strange" humanity as he always seeks to reveal that aspect in themselves.
