The Library of Alexandria organises science fiction documentaries online

The library sector organizes the event of the "Science Sea Club" or the science vision for science and science fiction documents, which is a quarterly meeting that presents and discusses a selection of the holdings of the Library of Alexandria from scientific documentaries, and feature films about science and science fiction, and this comes in light of the interest of the Library of Alexandria in providing cultural services And distance learning in line with precautionary measures to prevent corona virus.

It is mentioned that the name of the event is taken from the combination of the words science and vision, which is what this club aims at in a framework that combines the effect of the image and the beauty of the show in documentaries in light of cinema fiction and the aesthetics of influences of all kinds in films, with reference to the titles of books available in the library that deal with scientific ideas in the films shown .

The event will be available via the Internet to discuss the first episode of a series of documentaries (Planet Earth) entitled (From Pole to Pole) which is among the holdings of the Library of Alexandria, at eight in the evening on Wednesday, April 8.

 

It is noteworthy that the Library of Alexandria, as part of its interest in developing its services in the digital world, launched a package of services, most notably two hundred thousand books on the Internet, and providing services to remote researchers, as well as the cultural and artistic works of the library on its YouTube channel.
