The second delegation of the Egyptians returning from Washington, DC, in the United States of America were welcomed at Marsa Alam airport on Sunday, April 5 by the members of the the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities office in the Red Sea governorate with flowers and souvenirs.
Head of the Tourism Activities and Internal Offices sector at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Samia Samy noted that all the Egyptian returnees were subjected to medical examination upon arrival at Marsa Alam Airport, by specialized doctors from the Ministry of Health and Population.
The Egyptian returnees are now residing in a hotel overlooking the sea to spend a quarantine period for 14 days.
Head of Chamber of Tourism Establishments, Maged Fawzi announced that the Egyptian delegation consists of 307 adults and 16 infants.
Fawzi added that the Chamber of Tourism Establishments performed all the needed procedures pertaining to welcoming and accommodating the Egyptians at the quarantine to enjoy the warm sunny atmosphere on the shore of the Red Sea during their stay until they finish their quarantine period.
Fawzi assured that the Egyptians who came back from US were subjected to medical examination upon their arrival at Marsa Allam Airport by specialized doctors from the Ministry of Health and Population.
The head of Chamber of Tourism added that these hotels were sterilized before receiving the Egyptian delegations, and their staff were trained on how to provide the needed protection and prevention procedures in addition to ensuring the safety of food in accordance with the standards of the World Health Organization.
Fawzi pointed out that the delegation members were exposed again to another medical examination upon their arrival at the hotels by the doctors who will be with them in the quarantine before they took their breakfast.
