The Bibliotheca Alexandrina reprints the book "A Message from Ancient Alexandria"

Dr. Mustafa Al-Fiqi, director of the Library of Alexandria, said that we are happy to reprint the book "A Message about Ancient Alexandria" in its Arabic version, given the information and maps contained in the book about the ancient city of Alexandria, and how it was in its ancient era, in addition to many chapters related to the history of The city was in the Greco-Roman era, this came during the celebration organized by the Center for Alexandria Studies and Civilization of the Mediterranean at the Center for Documentation of Natural and Urban Heritage of the Library of Alexandria, in the presence of Attia Mahmoud Saleh al-Falaki, his granddaughter, family members, Amr Moussa and Dr. Hossam Badrawi.

During his speech, Al-Fiqi stressed the message of the Alexandria International Library through attracting the fields of heritage and creativity, and that the library is an inspiring center for creativity, and the library includes many brilliant names, including the center of Dr. Ismail Serag El-Din, the center of Dr. Zahi Hawas, the world of Egyptology, and Dr. Magdy Yaacoub Professor of Cardiology, as well as many other research centers.


Dr. Mustafa Al-Fiqi indicated that the library is keen on preserving and making available the cultural and scientific heritage of Egypt, as it included the books and papers of Professor Mohamed Hassanein Heikal, Dr. Ahmed Zewail, Dr. Ibrahim Shehata, artist Nour El-Sharif and other symbols of culture, art and thought.

It is worth noting that Eng. Mahmoud Pasha Al-Falaki, a great Egyptian scientist and one of the most prominent astronomers in the modern era, is considered the pioneer of archaeological astronomy that linked between astronomical phenomena and evidence and archaeological monuments in an unprecedented way, and Mahmoud Al-Falaki many research and astronomical studies that won the admiration and appreciation of Western scholars .
