Egypt's Ethylene exports increase to $929M in 3 years

The Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company achieved exports worth 929 million dollars in three years starting from 2017 to 2019.

CAIRO - 7 April 2020: The Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company achieved exports worth 929 million dollars in three years starting from 2017 to 2019.

The Ethylene exports represented 9.6 percent of Egypt's total exports, Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla said during a video-conferencing meeting of the general assembly of the company, according to state news agency, MENA.

The minister said the petrochemicals industry plays a pivotal role in achieving the country's economic development and increasing productivity and added value.

He urged the company to preserve the safety of workers by adopting necessary precautionary measures against coronavirus.
