CAIRO – 29 May 2019: Terrorist Hisham al Ashmawi who headed one of the terrorist organizations in the city of Darnah, Libya and who carried out a number of bloody terrorist attacks in Libya and Egypt, and terrorist Bahaa, Aly Abd El Mo'aty were extradited to Egypt in accordance with the established judicial cooperation agreement between Egypt and Libya.
In the framework of the counterterrorism operations in North Africa and within the framework of joint cooperation between Egypt and Libya, the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army received today at the headquarters of Brigadier General Abbas Kamel, head of the Egyptian Intelligence Service.
The meeting discussed counterterrorism operations in the region. During the meeting, the terrorist Hisham al-Ashmawi, who headed one of the terrorist organisations in the city of Darnah, and terrorist Bahaa, Aly Abd El Mo'aty were extradited.
He carried out a number of bloody terrorist attacks in Libya and Egypt. He was arrested by members of the armed forces during the war of liberation of Darna. In accordance with the established judicial cooperation agreement signed between the two countries and after all the procedures and investigations have been completed by the armed forces the criminal was handed over.
